Our Story

Stimzi began with a simple question: how can we help a sensory-seeking child feel calm, regulated and fulfilled when going outside is not always an option?

For co-founder Randi, that question was personal. As a neurodivergent parent, professional ADHD coach with a Master of Education, and mum to a son with high sensory needs, she understood just how important movement, stimulation and regulation can be.

But living in England means outdoor play is not always practical. Rainy days, cold weather and the demands of everyday family life can make it difficult for children to get the movement and sensory input their bodies are seeking. Finding high-quality products that could safely support those needs inside the home was surprisingly difficult.

Randi’s daughter, a natural homebody who still loves to swing, move and explore sensory play, reinforced the same idea: children should not have to leave the comfort of home to access the movement and stimulation they need.

Randi shared the challenge with her best friend, Laura, and Stimzi began to take shape.

Laura is a café owner, baker and experienced businesswoman with a BA (hons) degree in Fashion and Textiles. Her background gives her a trained eye for materials, construction, quality and thoughtful design—expertise that helps shape how we select products for Stimzi.

Laura is also mum to Rosco, who underwent open-heart surgery shortly after birth. Although intense physical activity can sometimes be difficult for him, he still wants to move, play and join in like any other child. His experience helped us understand the importance of offering flexible ways for children to stay active, at their own pace and in an environment that feels safe and comfortable.

Together, our families showed us that there is no single way for a child to play, move or regulate.

That is why we created Stimzi: a carefully curated collection of high-quality sensory and movement products for children with ADHD, autism, sensory processing differences and a wide range of SEND needs.

We choose products that feel at home in your home—well made, thoughtfully designed and selected with real family life in mind. Whether a child needs to swing, climb, fidget, focus, release energy or find a moment of calm, our aim is to make those needs easier to meet indoors.

Stimzi brings together lived experience, professional ADHD knowledge, educational expertise, design awareness and business experience. Most importantly, it is shaped by our understanding of what it feels like to search for the right solutions for your own child.

We are not here to tell families how children should play. We are here to offer more ways for them to do it.

Because every child deserves to feel included, capable and comfortable in their own body—and every family deserves products they can trust.

Thoughtful movement and sensory support, made for real family life.
